Intensive Moscow's Assaults Cut Power Across Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in the city's east were experienced blackouts and encountered interruptions to drinking water, according to municipal leaders.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was killed in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, as reported by local officials.

Russian forces has intensified strikes on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while the country's government has demanded "real steps" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the United States, European nations and the major economies - in supplying protection systems and enforcing sanctions," was stated in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 projectiles attacked the country's power systems, describing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were laboring to restore power.

A wave of strikes hit power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Several of the people injured in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, as confirmed by city authorities.

Regional authorities said the city endured intense attacks throughout the evening. A young boy died and three other people were hurt.

The attacks succeed nights of bombing campaigns in the territory, portions of which are occupied by Russian forces.

The whole nation is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to identify.

National leaders told journalists that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the national power system, with strikes already affecting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and government agencies were bracing for additional strikes.
